I mean, yes, “the gold standard” is a saying, but like, that’s with regards to currency and gold holding its value. If you were to have a battle between gold shoes and diamond shoes, diamond would win every time. It’s the hardest element on Earth. It would literally kick the gold shoes hypothetical butt.
