The next release in our hop exploration and education series, Stonefly IPA version 3, shines a light on the hop variety previously known as Experimental variety #07270. This hop has grown past the development stage and finally gets its own name tag: Altus. This Stonefly shows big fruit notes, with bubblegum, fruit loops and berry aromas, with some citrus rind and an earthy vegetal note in the background. The flavor is dank and resinous with a powerful, sticky hop bitterness.
