Our Triticale Amber Lager recipe was designed with elements of both a Vienna Lager and an American Amber lager. It features a base of mostly Vienna malts with a bit of Munich and Pilsen malts to give it a flavourful body. We then added a generous amount of rolled Triticale (a hybrid of rye and wheat) with a splash of German crystal malts for colour and sweetness. It was then hopped sparingly with American Pahto, Centennial, Columbus and Chinook hops which gives the beer light citrus and pine notes.
