A classic German Pilsner, light in body, but bursting with fresh wet hop* aroma and flavour! Prominent notes of doughy malt, as well as the subtle flavours of mild citrus and grass, lead the way with a sweet start. Then enter the spicy and floral hops, giving the beer a firm bitterness and dry finish. You might want this beer to be around forever, but it won’t be. *Wet hopped beers are beers that have been hopped with hops that are fresh from the bine, that have not been dried. The first step after harvesting hops is to dry them to preserve them. This allows them to be shipped to customers or to be pelletized. With wet hops, you have all the fresh from the bine character, and can really get the essence of the hop variety with no losses to heat damage or storage oxidation. Our hops were Santiam hops grown by Goodlot Farm & Farmstead Brewing Co. in Caledon, ON and were harvested on one day, then used in the brew the following day.
