Пиво Ruby Throated Red Kettle Sour - Horse & Dragon Brewing Company

The next in kettle sour experiments, Ruby- Throated Red (named by The Larimer Chorale) was brewed using lactobacillus culture present in yogurt, which lends a light tartness to this reddish-orange hued beer. The aroma of tart cherry is immediately evident. The body of the beer carries a caramel sweetness from the darker malts used that balances the slight sour character of the beer. A clean finish leaves lingering notes of bright cherry. N.B. We brewed this beer in honor of the Larimer Chorale’s 40th season. Given singers’ tales of lemon, ginger, and whiskey throat treatments before or after big concerts, we thought we’d suggest to these ruby-throated warblers that sweet & tart beer might be worth a try.
