Suan Mei Tang is a traditional “Lao Beijing” sour plum drink enjoyed by Beijingers during the hot summer months. We’ve captured its essence in this refreshing wheat beer with notes of sour plum, hibiscus, hawthorn berry and dried orange peel. A two-part collaboration with Moonzen Brewery, the first chapter was brewed in 2015 when we visited Hong Kong. We’ve recently reunited to make this second batch at our brewery in Beijing... hence the name, “One Beer, Two (brewing) Systems”.
