Пиво Black Oil (Vintage 2021) - Soul Barrel Brewing

Black Oil is an intense, fiery imperial stout. It was aged in a South African whisky barrel for over a year. It is a beer with rich toffee, chocolate, molasses and bourbon; a sipping beer to contemplate life over. Imperial stout is the strongest type of stout, and among the biggest and most intense styles of beer on earth. It traces it’s origins to the 18th century, when brewers in England brewed a hearty beer to survive the journey to Russia, where it was popular among the imperial court. Our American version includes a variety of specialty malts, oats and molasses. These aggressive flavors all melded together and were enhanced by aging the beer in a single bourbon for over a year. When we brewed it last year, Black Oil was specifically designed to be barrel aged, and it has emerged beautifully. This beer can be drunk fresh, or aged for up to ten years.
