We’ve been inspired by many things in our first year in Berlin, but nothing more so than the city itself and its rich brewing tradition. Stone Berlin’s take on this classic was first brewed in early 2015 and is brewed with a Lactobacillus strain, which was chosen from a selection of traditional Berlin-based strains to ensure a tart sour flavor authentic to the original style. Stone Berliner Weisse is so refreshing that we, in true Stone Brewing fashion, decided to take this beer to another level. We’re proud to present this special hometown favorite, whose imperial interpretation introduces a complex caramel malt note which gives this traditionally light style more body and balanced sweetness.
