We brewed this double fruited imperial sour ale with our good friends at Brewskey. We wanted to push the boundaries of fruit additions in a sour ale so we chose mango purée and whole black currants as our combo. The idea was to create a nice tannic quality from the black currants to balance the sweet tropical juice flavours of the mango. Mango comes through on the aroma while black currants take the forefront on the palate. A touch of sweetness is balanced with a healthy dose of acid. Bon appetit.
