Hazy DIPA collaboration with Drekker Brewing • 9% ABV • Time of Death celebrates the Tanis dig site in North Dakota, Drekker's home state, where archeologists unearthed a perfectly preserved thescelosaurus leg that will help narrow down the very day that the Chicxulub asteroid struck Earth and triggered a mass extinction some 66m years ago. Time of Death is a bright, comet-tail yellow with vibrant aromas of pineapple and lemongrass with waves of orange and grapefruit citrus on the palate. Phantasm and Mosaic hops hit the whirlpool and we dry hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra. It's medium-bodied with a pleasant last-day-on-earth sweetness that closes with, as one might imagine, a bit of a lingering bitterness.
