A few months ago, Goose Island brewer Cory Compton welcomed his first son into the world, Grey (wise) Leander (lion man). He was inspired to brew this beer to celebrate his son’s birth and had this to say: “Juniper trees, being some of the oldest trees in the world, are a symbol of wisdom, strength and perseverance of the human spirit. Bock style beers are deeply rooted in tradition, so it was the perfect choice of style for this brew.
