Пиво Hungarian Terroir: Villány - Spontan Merlot 2018 - MONYO Brewing Co.

Megérkezett a legújabb Hungarian Terroir tétel. Ezúttal ismét a Villányi borvidékre látogattunk és Lelovits Tamással közösen hoztuk létre a Spontan Merlot 2018-at. A sört ezúttal is spontán erjesztettük le a Merlot szőlőhéjon található mikroorganizmusokkal, ráadásul az erjesztés is boroshordókban ment végbe. Az erjedés után további 2 évet pihent a sör a hordókban, az eredmény pedig egy szuper izgalmas wild ale lett. Kitöltve egy bronz színű, enyhén fanyar és savanykás italt kapunk, melynek illatában és ízében is a gyümölcsös-funky-s jegyek dominálnak egy kis fával a háttérben. Talán az eddigi legkiegyensúlyozottabb a tétel a szériából. --- The newest member of the Hungarian Terroir series is here! This time we visited the Villány wine region once again and created the Spontan Merlot 2018 together with Tamás Lelovits. This beer was also fermented spontaneously with the microorganisms on the Merlot grape skins, and the fermentation ended in wine barrels. After the fermentation, the beer rested in the barrels for another 2 years, and the result is a super exciting wild ale. When poured, we get a bronze-colored, slightly astringent and sour drink, the aroma and taste are dominated by fruity-funky notes with a little wood in the background. Perhaps the most balanced item in the series so far.
