Not to be mistaken for "antithesis," anthesis is the flowering period of a plant, from the opening of the flower bud. This small batch wild ale was a blend of the only 2 salvaged barrels from the pub basement, likely filled in either 2017 or 2018. Lots of oak and lemon heads in the aroma, along with hints of yogurt, honey and spearmint. Very acidic, with citrus flavors and some subtle minerality, as well as soft tones of wheat crackers and toasted sunflower seeds. Effervescent with a dry finish.
