Light English ale brewed to remain full bodied with a pleasant and com-plex flavor. Thanks to high attenuation the ABV is almost 4%. Its malt aroma reminds of a fresh cereal bread, nuts and caramel. The flavor finishes with a pleasant earthy bitterness with herbal tones. Color is dark mahogany with an off-white head. It is possibly the first originally English ale brewed with hops dated to 15th century.Initially considered as a beer with an average gravity, during the First World War Mild had become low-gravity session beer because of the lack of grain in the war times. In spite of that, Mild had remained the most popular ale in England until the 1960s.
