Пиво American Wheat / Rye - Trenčiansky pivovar Lanius

This wheat beer originates in 1980s as an adaptation of a German Wei-zenbier, however, by using american ingredients it became very different from it's Bavarian "brother". Light malty body is very similar, but instead of yeast-produced banana esters and clove phenols you can taste citrusy american hops. We brewed an adored version with rye flakes which give the beer an earthy, somewhat spicy flavor with a characteristic dry mouthfeel. We also used a special hopping tech-nique — the so called hop bursting — which maximizes hop aroma while keeping the bitterness in moderate range. It means using a huge amount of hops right before the end of the boil.
