While selecting barrels for our Warehouse H Medianoche, which was aged for 22 months in freshly emptied 7-year Blanton's bourbon barrels, one specific barrel expressed distinctly bolder notes of freshly ground cinnamon and caramelized sugar than the rest of the batch. Leaning into the natural flavors imparted by this unique single barrel, we conditioned the finished beer with cinnamon sugar and a hint of vanilla, which pair perfectly with the notes of orange blossom honey, crème brûlée, caramel candy corn and hints of espresso expressed by the base beer.
