This new hazy IPA showcases the incredible Sabro hop, which is relatively new to the market. What sets it apart, outside of the amazing flavors it imparts to beer, is the fact that it is of neomexicanus heritage. Neo-mexi-whozee-whatzee? Glad you asked! So, most of the hops you know and love are of European descent, but neomexicanus is a genetically distinct sub-species of the hop family that has been growing wild in the mountains of New Mexico for the past million(ish) years. Traditionally very difficult to breed, the genius folk over at HBC found a way to make this hop viable at a commercial level, and boy is it a doozy. Notes as varied as ripe papaya, mango, lime zest, coconut and even a bit of mint all interplay together, helped along by the first of our hand-selected 2018 El Dorado hops, to create a truly stunning brew just waiting for the perfect sunset to enjoy.
