Side Launch Brewing

2016 Canadian Brewery of the Year. Just a short drive from the base of Blue Mountain in Collingwood, Side Launch opened its doors in 2014 with the intention of providing Ontario with wonderfully complex and highly drinkable beer. Our focus is on traditional German styles with an occasional one-off or seasonal brew. The name Side Launch comes from Collingwood’s rich history in ship building in the late 1800’s all the way through to the mid 1980’s. Due to the geographical constraints of our harbour, the large steel hulled boats had to be side launched into the water, instead of going in forward. These launches were dramatic events that brought people together from all over to celebrate. We hope our beer can bring people together to celebrate just as much.
