In Germany to keep the people safe from the dreaded Rona, we have a very simple system of rules that everybody understands clearly. 1G means only Geimpft (vaccinated) allowed. 3G means Geimpft, Genesen (recovered), and Gestestet (tested negative). 2G means only Geimpft and Genesen. All very easy…what about 2G Plus? Well, that’s also easy, it means…wait, what is the “plus” for? Don’t laugh too much at this German bureaucracy, because it reminds us brewers a lot of the various acronyms for Hazy IPAs. Constantly changing and nobody really knows what it means even if they pretend to. Our newest hazy double IPA is an HDHC…double dry vaxxed with a dose of T90 pellets, a dose of Cryo hops, and a booster of Incognito. The 8.5% alcohol will surely kill anything the vax doesn’t prevent. Hops: Mosaic (Incognito, T90), Simcoe (T90, Cryo), Cashmere (T90), El Dorado (T90), Amarillo (Cryo).
