This beer was brewed to celebrate the 23nd anniversary of the one, the only, Michael Poat AKA El Diablo. Mike has moved well over a million kegs of beer during his time here and you'll never catch him without a smile on his face. Mike's a big fan of traditional style beers so naturally he chose a Kolsch to brew to celebrate his many years of service to Goose Island. After an extensive hop rub, Mike chose Zuper Saazer and Huell Melon for a classic Kolsch hop profile with a slight fruit character. Raise your glass for this Goose Island legend, and wish him many more years to come! Mike wanted the proceeds from his beer to go to Miracles In Progress, to help children and young adults with brain injuries and other special needs.
