YU-ZEN All Day Red Sour Our attempt to create an everyday flanders red-inspired beer that can be brewed all year round. We brewed a malty kettle soured base with oak chips then infused house made “san ja” fruit vinegar in the whirlpool for the sherry-like acetic notes that normally require years to create. Conditioned final beer on tart cherry to give it an extra fruit boost. Pours a clear red color with off-white fluffy head. On the nose packaged with dried fruit aromas of cherry, cranberry, followed by sherry-like acetic notes. On the palate, drinks biscuity and dark toasted bread that’s balanced by firm tannins and a crisp tartness. Highly drinkable and finishes off-dry with a crisp after taste.
