Japanese Rice Lagers don't differ too much from their American cousin, the American Lager. They use a high percentage of adjunct (mainly rice) with a lager yeast that produces a ever so slight sulfur character, which is characteristic to the style. Bushido Code is a Japanese Rice Lager with a twist - using jasmine rice instead of the typical long grain, white rice. Using jasmine rice gives a pleasant sweet and sightly nutty aromatic aroma and flavor while still being a crisp lager with a clean finish.
