Ever wonder what unicorn meat tastes like? Well, you don’t have to anymore. It’s a little known fact that the unicorn’s favorite food is the Puya Pepper. They eat so many puya peppers, that the fruity, smoky spice of the peppers even goes into the unicorn meat. And our favorite way to cook unicorn meat is grilled! We captured that same flavor in our newest beer, Grilled Unicorn, a Rauchbier made with Puya Peppers. Rauchbier is a smoked beer style, most famously made in Bamberg. Puya Peppers are not particularly hot and spicy, rather they bring through a subtle fruitiness and light smokiness that blends together with the smoked malt. A German classic with a touch of added complexity and a tiny tingle of spice as you get halfway through the beer. Now you can brag to your friends that you know what Grilled Unicorn tastes like.
