Bräugier Craftbier

Пиво Zum Roten Igel - Bräugier Craftbier

Lager - Vienna • 4.9% ABV

Zum Roten Igel (the Red Hedgehog) was a historically significant gasthaus in Vienna. Some important figures in German history spent time there while in Vienna. The most notable case is that of Robert Blum, Germany's leading democratic revolutionist. He frequented the Red Hedgehog during the Vienna Uprising of 1848, as it was a meeting place of pro-democracy radicals. Once the revolt was crushed, Blum was illegally executed by the Austrian regime, making him a martyr for German democracy. Zum Roten Igel was also the regular haunt of another famous German, composer Johannes Brahms. Like the hedgehog our Vienna Lager has a reddish color. Complex, but not cloying malt, subtle hop nose, & a crisp finish make this an instant favorite!
