The “Chernobyl” series is our loving tribute to the amazing tart cherries that northern Michigan has to offer. We start with Balaton and Montmorency cherries and wildflower honey, and is left with enough residual sweetness after fermentation to balance the acid and tannin that naturally make these cherries so complex. Chernobyl Turnover is then rested on a generous amount of Madagascar vanilla beans and whole Indonesian cinnamon bark, resulting in a mead very reminiscent of fresh homemade cherry pie
