Se volvieron populares a mediados de los 80's, las tres cervezas más vendidas de Estados Unidos, hoy todas son estilo "light". Son conocidas por la combinación baja en calorías y baja en nivel de alcohol, a menudo resulta en una cerveza con poco sabor que es fácil de beber. El reto para cualquier casa cervecera es crear una cerveza que cumpla con ambos perfiles, baja en calorías y en alcohol, además por supuesto, que sea fácil de beber, pero con su sabor apagan a un bebedor de cerveza artesanal. Básicamente, nuestro objetivo era crear una cerveza "light" que no supiera "light". ¿Extraño? Tal vez, pero... ¡creemos que hemos tenido éxito donde otros han fallado! Nos complace presentarles El Sol, con disponibilidad durante todo el año. ----- First becoming popular in the mid-1980’s, the three best-selling beers of the USA today are all “Light” in style. Known as both a lower calorie and a lower alcohol beer, this combination often results in a near flavorless beer that is easy to drink. The challenge for any craft brewery was creating a beer that fits both profiles of lower calories and alcohol, plus of course remains easy to drink, yet appeases the craft beer junky with its flavor. Essentially our goal was to create a Light beer that did not taste like a Light beer. Strange? Perhaps so… but we believe we have succeeded where others have failed!
